Merry Christmas from the Blacks

The annual taking of the Christmas card picture is always an exciting time at the Black house! It usually starts off amicably enough... full of holiday cheer and optimism. "Maybe THIS will be the year," Celeste and I will think. It usually denigrates rather quickly, however, into what can only be described as "weeping and gnashing of teeth." This year was no exception.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas this holiday season and all of the blessings that a new year holds. Maybe next year will be the year... until then, enjoy these "outtakes" from our attempts at the perfect Christmas picture.

What you should all be asking is "Where was Jim while Celeste was trying to capture the youth and innocence of their children?" The answer is he was sitting on the couch just laughing his head off doing nothing to help his lovely wife capture this moment in time. I just thought you should know!

This is one of the funniest sets of pictures that I have ever seen. Only the Black boys could have created such hilarity. I guessing that Celeste is the one who captured all this fun. Thanks for a great laugh!

Welcome to Jim's blog!

Thanks for visiting my blog... I hope you'll find it helpful, perhaps insightful or at least a little humorous. I hope to do several things through this blog... share pictures, thoughts, and funny stories... but also to converse back and forth about what we are reading in God's Word together. In preparing for Sunday's message each week, I am interested in hearing from you... what do YOU think about Sunday's text? What are your questions? Suggestions? Just click on the COMMENTS section and let's talk. I'll do my best to give you a "heads up" on upcoming lessons and I would greatly appreciate your thoughts. Thanks in advance!
